Frequently asked questions
Helpful answers before you call or visit.
These are practical starting points. A tour or phone conversation is the best place to discuss your family’s specific situation.
What support does American Golden Care provide?
American Golden Care provides assisted-living support with bathing, dressing, medications, and everyday routines. The right fit is discussed before a move-in decision.
What does assisted living cost?
Monthly pricing is typically about $3,500 to $5,000. The exact rate is determined after a medical assessment and discussion of the resident’s needs.
What payment options are accepted?
American Golden Care accepts private pay and Medicaid waiver. The team can explain next steps during your first conversation.
Can we tour before deciding?
Yes. Tours are by appointment, with 24 hours’ notice requested and no night tours.
Does American Golden Care offer memory care?
No. American Golden Care does not provide memory care or support for wandering.
Can you support wheelchair use or more involved health needs?
Wheelchair use, diabetes and insulin, oxygen, feeding-tube supplies, wound care, and off-site dialysis can be discussed during an assessment. The team will review whether the home is an appropriate fit before making any commitment.
What needs may not be a fit?
The community is not the right setting for wandering support, two-person transfers, bed-bound care, or residents who require a lift. A care assessment helps families find the safest setting.
How soon can someone move in?
Move-in may be possible within 24 to 48 hours once required doctor’s scripts are ready. Final timing depends on the medical assessment, documentation, and the family’s needs.
Can married couples live together?
Shared accommodations for married couples in a double room can be discussed during the tour and assessment.
Are pets or smoking allowed?
Pets are not accepted. Smoking is limited to a designated area. Ask the team about current household policies during your tour.
